Expat family guidance
Moving to a new country is an exciting experience... and also challenging, especially for families!
We help expat families adjust to life in Germany to ensure a smooth transition for every family member by providing the tools, strategies, and support for thriving in the new cultural environment.
We’ll guide you through understanding the German education system, coping with culture shock, learning German, integrating into your local community, and fostering bilingualism.
Bilingualism guidance
Contrary to popular belief, full bilingualism doesn’t just happen - it requires a thoughtful and consistent approach. This is particularly true if you live in an area without access to bilingual educational facilities (like us).
This is where our expertise becomes invaluable. Our two children have achieved native fluency in both of our languages through carefully structured routines and practical strategies that any family can implement.
With our unique combination of professional and personal experience, we are ideally suited to helping other expat families achieve their bilingualism goals.
Why us?
Hi! We are Laura and Aaron, and we are raising our children in a multicultural environment in provincial Bavaria.
Laura is a state-certified speech therapist with extensive experience in child development and language acquisition. She understands the unique challenges of raising children in a multilingual environment and helps families navigate these complexities. In addition to her native Germany, Laura has also lived in France and South Africa.
Aaron has an academic background in linguistics with a focus on language acquisition. Originally from the USA, he knows first-hand what it means to be raising children in a foreign culture. Aaron has spent many years living in Spain and Germany.
